Tourist Day in Mexico

The whole Family headed to Mexico today for tourist day. Mimi, PawPaw, and Angie met up at our house around 10 and we headed out. When we pulled up to the bridge we saw tons and tons of people so we thought we might be in over our heads. We got across the bridge in no time at all. We did have to maneuver between the crowds, but we always found an opening. We made all our pre-planned destination stops: 1st Corn, 2nd: Michiladas 3rd: Lounches (a fried bread with meet and avocado yummy). We were all happy campers. Maverick never got crabby but I could tell he was a little warm from the sun. Overall it was a great time. I'm glad we went and that we got to see Jesse's family!

We had to get Maverick naked after that long walk back. He likes wearing just his pamper.

PawPaw bought Mimi her flowery crown. She looked very pretty!

Spring Break

Jesse and I are so excited to have an entire week to spend together with Maverick and each other! This is a rare occasion since he is driving 5 days a week to Kingsville to teach and working at Pan-Am at night. This was some well needed and deserved time together. Today we took Mave to the Livestock show. It was a little hot, but with Mimi's help we managed to get around and have a great time. Oh I almost forgot. I took Maverick to get his first set of portrait studio photos yesterday. They came out so cute! I'll be posting those soon!

Doesn't every baby need one of these?

My favorite picture of the day!

He really "drew" a crowd

4 Month Check-up

Maverick growing by leaps and bounds! He went to his 4 month appointment this last Thursday and he is now weighing 14 pounds and is 25 in. long. The big news from this months doctor visit is that we are starting to introduce papita! Yummy! Here are some live action shots!

We can't believe his is almost sitting up all by himself! He loves to stand and kick his legs. Jesse is hoping he wants to play soccer one day.

Valentine's Weekend

Maverick celebrated his first Valentine's day yesterday. Jesse borrowed my camera on Friday and forgot it at work, so I didn't get to snap any photos. I did take one picture of him in his heart breaker t-shirt from my cell phone camera. In a way I think it is good that we didn't have the camera because it forced me to take mental memories. Friday night Jesse came home after a long workday in Kingsville with a dozen roses, sushi, and Valentine card. The roses were beautiful, the sushi was tasty (good thing because I was hungry) and the card was sweet and romantic. Things have been really hard since I went back to work. Jesse is working two professor jobs one in Kingsville during the day, then four nights a week at Pan-American. He is working so hard and driving 4 hours a day so we don't get to spend much time together as a family. This can really strain a relationship. We knew it was going to be hard and that we would just have to make it through May and things will get easier. Times are tough but I know we will pull through. We did get to go to Dirty Al's on South Padre Island for lunch on Saturday as a family. It was so nice to get out and we really enjoyed our day together just the three of us. Maverick got a Valentine from his Mimi, Payton (Kristin's Daughter), and Mickaela (Angie's Daughter). He has the best grandma and friends.
