In-home daycare

Maverick turned 10 months today and to show him what a big boy he is we sent him off to daycare for the first time! Jesse and I were so nervous to leave him. We both went to drop him off which is literally 30 yards directly in front of our house. I packed him a survival bag full of all his necessities: diapers, shoes, baby Tylenol, tons of bottles, change of clothes, you name it I had it. You never know anything could happen. The sitter looks at me and says "that's great, thanks for bringing all that" I'm sure she thought I was a extremely paranoid mommy. I set him down in the play room and zoom he took off for the toys just smiling away. I felt good knowing he was smiling as hard as it was to leave him. I told myself not to call ever thirty minutes, but I just had to check on him before I left to my morning class! Long story short within the first hour he had already taken a spill and busted his upper lip :( I wanted to run over and scoop him up never to leave his side again! She said he was fine, and not to worry! YEAH RIGHT! I fought the urge to go and get him knowing I couldn't miss my Anatomy class. I called many times to keep checking on him. I picked him up as soon as I could and saw his little red lip :( Now I truly know what heartbreak is!!! After talking to Jesse, my mom, and friends I've tried to convince myself that this could have happened at home even while I was watching him. Not being with him is one of the hardest things, but in the end I know I'm doing this for him! I'm praying things go well from here on out. No one can love him the way I do!!!

Back to the Collage Life

I am officially back in Collage! According to Jesse this means it's back to roman noodles and major budge changes! It's only for a year and a half so I know we can do it. Maverick will be starting in-home Daycare across the street on Monday. He will go Monday thru Thursday all day. This is not what we originally planned, but now that I am taking 16 hours I will need plenty of study time. It's going to be hard not to walk across the street to go visit him or pick him up early, so I'll have to stay around school to keep focused. One of my professors says Communication Science and Disorders is the hottest major on campus this semester. It must be because I enrolled right? I'm looking forward to the challenges being back in school brings :) Sept. 22nd is the mid way point and that seems pretty close already!

Oh before I forget the biggest news in Mavericks life is: HE"S WALKING!!! at 9 and a half months he was taking a bunch of steps and falling down, and now at almost 10 months he walks everywhere: Inside, outside, over rocks, in the dirt. You name it he'll walk on it. Two small problems: Rocks and sticks are now fun to eat and sometimes I think he's trying to run. My only wish is that he would SLOW down, he's growing up WAY TOO quickly. I want him to stay my little baby FOREVER! Oh how I just love his little face, here see for yourself:

The cutest little pre soccer player!

I know it's August but I just had to get him these bone PJs! I love Halloween!

Mave finds real food!

Our son somehow knows he is not getting the good stuff. He must smell it :)

9 months old!

Every night before I go to bed I thank God for giving Jesse and me our beautiful boy Maverick. I can't even explain what he means to me. He is simply everything... A huge light in side this little being that shines and lightens up our entire life. He makes me love like I never knew I could. He is so happy, excepting, and open to any idea the day brings as crazy at it may be. He has become our little parrot and entertains anyone who will watch and listen. He is Maverick Anthony, And I just can't help but smile every night before I fall asleep knowing he is my son :) Here he is 9 months old:

Fouth and Family

Some how I convinced my family to come to good ole Kingsville Texas for the 4th! The whole town consist of about two major street. One fast food lane and the other 4 stores down town. 8 adults 4 kids and 3 dogs all packed away in one house. Not only did we survive with out killing each other, we also had a blast. We were only missing Larry but thought of him often. We had beer, wine, and ammo (fireworks) too! Saturday we ventured to the beach to see the Texas State Aquarium. Way too many people and too many little guys. The incidence were minimal, some crying, a little yelling, and a whole lot of puke! I'm so glad we all got together for this. Can't wait until the next go round :) It may be cow town, but it's our town now!

Pool Fun :)
